Important limitations

When Ticket Tailor is not yet a proven fit for your entrance

Last materially reviewed 2026-09-28

Quick answerStop short of a recommendation when connectivity, payment, access or event policy remains unresolved.
Likely to work well when

✓ Small community-event organizers

✓ Volunteer door-team coordinators

✓ Ticketing comparisons tied to real admission tasks

Important limitations

— Professional crowd-safety engineering

— Certified occupancy or staffing decisions

— Event promotion and guaranteed ticket sales

— Private attendee-data processing

What to know

Do not stretch the evidence

Official documentation can establish that a feature exists under stated conditions. It cannot establish that your venue connection, devices and volunteer workflow are ready. This publication has not run a paid event or audited Ticket Tailor’s security. Keep those limits visible when discussing the product with a committee. A conditional recommendation is useful only if the conditions remain attached to it.

What to know

Watch for several disconnected entrances

If separate devices cannot share new check-in information, one device’s result may not reflect what happened elsewhere. An event that depends on immediate cross-gate consistency needs a deliberate solution and rehearsal. More scanners alone do not solve that requirement. We do not prescribe a crowd-control plan or certify safe occupancy. Escalate venue and safety responsibilities to the people qualified and authorized to make those decisions.

What to know

Keep payments and admission separate

An in-person sale involves compatible equipment, a configured processor, permissions and an actual payment result. A check-in feature is not proof that card acceptance works in every country or without connectivity. Similarly, a payment receipt does not automatically settle which event or ticket type permits entry. Check the complete sequence relevant to your organization. Do not expand every volunteer’s access merely to make an unresolved process appear simpler.

What to know

A fictional stop decision

The committee likes the interface but has not confirmed connectivity at its second entrance. The lead records the device-sharing requirement as unresolved and retains a known admission fallback. That is a better result than declaring the event ready because a test scan succeeded on office Wi-Fi. Return to the requirements brief, identify the missing evidence and assign a bounded check. If the critical requirement still cannot be met, compare another approach rather than forcing the recommendation.

Where the safety evidence stops

This guide draws on Ticket Tailor: when check-in data synchronizes, Ticket Tailor: check-in reporting and its limitations, Ticket Tailor: in-person orders. Merchant-controlled records describe the provider’s own capabilities, terms or standards; they do not independently validate those claims. These records do not establish independent confirmation of the product claims.

Verify any current price, plan limit, label direction, compatibility rule, or commercial term that would materially change the decision. The dated source ledger shows the underlying records so this conclusion can be checked and updated.
